Peruvian authorities have decided not to take part in the organization of the raid and denied the organizers of "Dakar-2016" in the rules of engagement in the country for the route of the race.
The official reason for leaving Peru from the process is not very clear, but we know that it is associated with the natural phenomenon El Nino, which affects the west coast of the northern regions of South America each winter.
This year's "El Niño" is expected to particularly harsh and Peruvian authorities intend to engage in the elimination of consequences of natural phenomena all possible state and they have no time to be distracted by the riders.
